Neurological toxicities of cancer treatment can have devasting consequences on quality of life. Neurocognitive deficits, neuropathies, myopathies & mood swings are but to name a few. However it is only rarely that Neuro toxic reactions attract a same level of attention as myelotoxicities or gastro intestinal toxicity. Book under review bridges this yawning gap. Each chapter dwells on a particular group of drugs like alkylating agents, alkaloids, hormones and so on. A brief introduction of the drugs followed by mechanism of action, pharmacokinetics and non - neurological toxicities precede the discussion on neurological toxicities. The book covers all agents exhaustively though one wishes that mechanisms leading to neural toxicity could have been discussed in a greater detail. It is an excellent book for internists and particularly neurologists who are regularly called upon to opine on patients of cancer undergoing a plethora of treatments. Book is also available in its e- avatara !
